The 2024 garden
The garden was really good this year. Grew zucchinni vertically with grass clipping mulch (not leaves which are habitat for bugs) - worked great.
Lots of tomatoes, late in the season I started picking them a little green to stop the brown thrush from pecking them. They ripened in the house nicely.
Peppers did really well in box 4 - got very tall and produced into November.

Seed Orders for 2024 from Johnny's and Amazon

Seed Order Conclusions:
• Grew the Noche zuchinni vertically with hand pollination, that worked great!
• The Galine eggplant were fine, I think they would have done better with more sun.
• The Jade beans seemed to have a little trouble germinating, perhaps I planted them too early.
But, I got multiple pickings from them and they were very good.
• The second year I've grown Galahad tomatoes and they were great.
• The second year I've grown Defiant tomatoes and they were great.
• Skyway beefsteak were good but as expected slow to ripen.
• Sakura cherry tomatoes were good but a little larger than I think I prefer.
• Grew 4 Corinto cucumbers growing up tent poles. Worked great.
• Basil tasted good. Never planted the Coriander. Teddy dill seed was good.
• Ageratum seem did work.
• Queen Sophia Marigold seed worked well. I left plat on ground and rabbits ate most of them.
• Did not like "Dragon Wing Pink Begonias" - did not spread like I like and the flowers were very dense.
• The Purple Wave Pentunia did well but make too much mess on the patio.
• I think I forgot to grow peppers from seed, so I purchased them from Home Depot. Needed more sun.
• Planted lettuce from previous year, had lettuce into June. Then petered out in July. Need to plant at least one variety that is heat tolerant

Johnny's didn't have begonias so I ordered them and petunia seeds from Amazon.
