Thursday: Day 6 - Elizabeth City back to Portsmouth

When planning the trip I expected much warmer weather and expected to need to have some kind of ventilation in hot weather and still be protected from Dismal Swamp mosquitoes.  So, I made the above folding screen hatch door which worked great.

The South Mills lock. This lock had about a 12 foot lift - pretty amazing.
